This site contains various scraps of genealogical data concerning my ancestry. My goals are to discover and publish these aspects of my ancestry:

1. The furthest discoverable extents of my ancestral origins
2. The other descendants of those ancestors -- my cousins
3. The connections -- intermarriages -- between these relations
4. Noted personalities among my relations, both ancestors and cousins
5. Special coincidences connecting people who may not be related to each other, but are both related to me: Rencontres

This is very much a work-in-progress. You will find lots of incomplete sections. I do try to avoid creating dead links, though. If you find any, don't hesitate to report them to me.

While I do make an honest effort to avoid posting erroneous or fictional data here, it is obviously impossible for me to have personally verified each individual fact. I rely on sources that I consider reliable and avoid those that seem to have been, um, careless with their researches. Nevertheless, error will inevitably worm its way onto these pages. I cast it out whenever I find it, and I am grateful to my readers who point it out to me.

Genealogy

• Ancestral Families - The families of my ancestors A full Outline Descendant Tree (ODT) for each family.
  • Bibliographies of sources for each Ancestral Family
• Roll of known Ancestral Surnames & Immigrant Ancestors Lists all of my known ancestral surnames, together with the Immigrant Ancestor(s) where known. Pedigrees are given for each surname.
  This item has been withdrawn, and is replaced by a simple collection of ancestral pedigrees.
• Roll of Noted Relations Celebrities! Lists all direct or cousin relations of fame or notoriety. Eventually, each will have his/her own page, complete with thumbnail biography and a link farm of pointers to other relevant sites around the net. Pedigrees are given, connecting the subject to me.
• Rencontres - Chance Meetings Lists coincidental meetings or unusual associations between people long ago, who turn out to be related to me.
