Stansfield Hall, Todmorden, Lancashire County [sic] - England ... I think my father took this picture in 1900 - when he took us all over to Oldham Royton and returned to the states with your father, my dear "Bill" leaving us with Grandma

[These notes were written in pen on the reverse. I believe it was written by one of our mother's aunts (William Stansfield's sisters) to Mom when she visited one of them in Seattle and probably obtained the photo at that time. The "Bill" so affectionately referred to would then be William Stansfield. DW] [Todmorden is actually in West Yorkshire. RAD]
